Are You Drinking Someone Else's Sex Hormones?
An Associated Press report in March 2008 revealed that a large number of drugs have been found in the drinking water supplies of 41 million Americans. The drugs that have been detected are for the treatment of pain, infection, high cholesterol, asthma, mental illness, epilepsy, heart problems, anxiety in addition to mood stabilisers and a sex hormone, While the concentrations of these drugs are very low (in the parts per billion) the worry is that no-one knows what the long term effects are on people exposed to minute doses of a cocktail of drugs every day.
