To support hair growth and health, plan your diet with most of your calories from grain products, vegetables, fruits, low-fat milk products, vegetables, fruits, low-fat milk products, lean meats, fish, poultry, and dry beans. Choose fewer calories from fats and sweets. High-sugar diets deplete your body of vitamins and minerals. Make sure to eat a variety of foods, too. Foods contain combinations of nutrients and other healthful substances.
