Lead in Our Food? Now, THAT is a Heavy Meal!

The heavy, and toxic metal, lead has contaminated our world for the last 80 years, mostly due to leaded gasoline, burning of fossil fuels, and metallurgy. It has no use by the human body, and high levels have lead to neurotoxicity and high blood pressure. However, lead exists naturally in our environment, in our food, water, and air, and although we cannot get our lead consumption to zero, there are things we can do to reduce our exposure.
